Week 6

Students continued to discuss issues relating to the topic of Different and continued to create scenes that addressed the topic from various perspectives (including race, religion, ability, etc.). Artsbridge students also attended a production of Crazy For You produced by North Hills High School (located about 40 minutes away). WPSD Mainstream Coordinator, Mary Ann Stefko, served as the interpreter for the performance, and also helped students prepare to see the production. WPSD students read the script and reviewed the plot prior to attending the performance. The students of North Hills were extremely gracious hosts—several students learned signs that they could work in to their usual character interaction with the audience. After the performance, WPSD and NHHS students had the opportunity to meet and interact. WPSD invited North Hills to attend their production in just a few weeks!
