ArtsBridge Pittsburgh

Quest is proud to once again partner with City Theatre (Pittsburgh, PA), and the Western Pennsylvania School for the Deaf (WPSD) in a unique full semester collaboration which focuses on the use of theatre as a tool for learning and discovery across the curriculum.  Components of this year’s collaboration include:

• Specialized drama workshops for selected WPSD students.
• Performances by Quest productions at WPSD and other Pittsburgh venues.
• Development of the “critical eye” of WPSD drama students through attendance at live performing arts events.
• Creation and development of an original visual theatre piece by WPSD drama students.

The project focuses on the development of the student “voice” through the use of tools such as visual theatre and playwriting by consensus—exploring the power of theatre to serve as a medium of expression and as a strategy for learning.

Artsbridge Pittsburgh is made possible through an “Arts Connect All” grant provided by VSA arts and the MetLife Foundation.
