ArtsBridge Pittsburgh

Epilogue

It’s been just about two months since the culmination of the Artsbridge Pittsburgh project, and the staff and participants are still buzzing about it.  Quest president, Tim McCarty and City Theatre Director of Education, Diane Nutting are looking forward to sharing the process of the Artsbridge Pittsburgh project at the upcoming conference of the American Alliance for Theatre and Education in Salt Lake City, Utah.  Below is some of the feedback that’s been generated from the first year of this unique collaboration. Discussions are already in progress about ways we can continue this partnership, and we look forward to bringing you a web-log of new adventures sometime soon!

I liked that we created our own play without teachers.

I’m usually a shy person, but the project helped me open up more.  I learned that I can do anything I wanted to if I worked hard for it.  I strongly believe that this project and acting itself helped me mature.

I cannot begin to impress upon you how important and positive this experience has been for my child.  Being a part of a group of her peers who were working toward a common goal has taught my child to be more responsible to herself and to those around her. She has blossomed as an individual who can now better assert, share, and express her ideas with others knowing that she has made a meaningful contribution within her group. Nearly a month has passed and she still beams proudly when she speaks of her accomplishments.

I learned I have many talents if I work up to my abilities.
